Are you looking to study cello and world music at a community college before transferring to a public university? Lake Michigan College is a two-year, accredited, nonprofit community college in southwest Michigan and it may be the right place for you.
Acceptance into this program is based on a placement audition, which is done at one of three spring audition days for best chances of scholarship consideration. If you miss the audition days you can still schedule your time on an as-needed basis, but you may miss out on scholarship opportunities. Students seeking admission from outside of the area are permitted to do their audition remotely (by Zoom). It is recommended that you audition after submitting your application to the college, but before academic advising whenever possible.
The Audition dates for the 2022-2023 academic year are:
April 22 May 20 June 17
To set up your audition time, please contact kzook@lakemichigancollege.edu or call (269) 927-8876. When setting up your audition please include your full name, email address, phone number, instrument or voice part, and student ID number (if known). You will be notified by email or phone of your audition results within one week from the date of your audition.
